CelloG said: did you see the scorelines I posted? They're almost the same as this sim. The difference is that the goals scored are ones that LOOK like goals. If you allow your opponent 10 one-on-one, you'll probably allow 6-8 goals in the new sim. Defend the ball well, and your opponent may not score. I saw a game on the es server where one side created 24 chances all against a well-organized defense and scored 4 goals. The other side only created 8 chanced and scored 6, but all 8 chances were breakaways behind the defense. So, again, it's more realistic in that the best chances score more often, not that every chance scores more often. The shots that careen off to the sidelines simply won't happen very often, whereas I see at least one in every single game my team plays with this sim. THAT is unrealistic Well said... Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully this doesn't screw up my promotion because my formations have worked pretty well with this sim as it seems so far... | 05/02/2013 04:17 |

Here's a checklist: 1) do you rely upon the fact that the sim makes strikers pass to each other and generate offsides 2) do you rely upon one-on-ones missing to win your games? 3) do you rely upon throw-ins being inaccurate? 4) do you rely upon your opponent's defenders being unnaturally slow in order to win? 5) do you rely upon your opponent's defenders being unable to tackle in order to win? 6) do you allow a lot of breakaways? If you answer yes to any of those, you may start losing games. On the other hand, here's another checklist: 1) do you generate a lot of one-on-ones? 2) do you keep possession in your opponent's half? 3) do you have strong and fast defenders relative to your opponent's strikers? if you answer yes to any of those, you will probably start doing better. |

After my initial inhibitions to the new SIM, I'm actually warming up to the idea. It seems that the new SIM will reward managers who actually put in their effort for good tactics. No more stupid strikers missing easy one on one's or superior OT tactics. Learn to attack well, and you shall score realistic goals. Learn to defend well, and you shall reap the benefits. Everyone's getting me hyped. Edited by Arsenal <3 05-02-2013 04:53 |

My team more or less charges forward with a very "power" based attack interspersed with possession play, so I cant really decipher if they keep the ball in my opponents half. | 05/02/2013 04:55 |
