Two interesting possibilities to give the users slightly more say but not having absurdity. Option 1. Have members vote on potential new @'s. The top 10 vote getter's or something similar then go to the current @'s to decide who they want. This would have the effect of the @'s not putting in managers that the majority don't like, but give them the ability to add who is a good fit from the list the people want. Option 2. Have the @'s create a list of 10 possible @'s they think could be helpful and let the members vote off that list. This gives the @'s the ability to control who potentially joins their ranks, but allows the majority to select from that list to have input. FWIW: I am not saying that I support either of these options, but rather offer them as ways to allow people outside of @'s to have input, but still give @'s strong say over who becomes an @. The other option. I close. |
