I still wonder how this so called Ballon D'or final three are being voted. In 2010, Wesley Schneider was denied the crown despite the fact that he won the Champions League (scored the goal that sealed the victory against Barcelona in the Semi final at San Siro) the Scudetto, Italian Cup as well as guiding his country to the World Cup finals -He was joint top score in the competion. Despite all this achievements and performances he was not even in the final three. This year again. Just another suprise to me not to see the name of the inspirational captain of La roja and Los Blancos. Who helped Real Madrid toppled Barcelona to winning the La Liga with his world class saves. And, also reaching the last four of the Champions League. As winning the Euros two straight times. Perhaps these resembles Nigeria's Election!! By K.I.C |

I think they were the right nominations if it's a three man list. Messi just plays consistently brilliant in each game I see Barca play, and is likely to beat Mullers goal scoring record. Ronaldo doesn't always play that well in games, but his goal scoring is only second to Messi (and both are miles ahead of anyone else). Iniesta (in my opinion) was the main reason Spain won at the Euro's (and had a very good season). Casillas is an outstanding keeper and would merit a place if there was a four man list. |
