will say this: national teams that have several players on the same club (e.g. Spain - Barca/Real Madrid, Germany - Bayern Munich) tend to play a more fluid and consistent game of football than other countries. It will be interesting to see how England (who have many Chelsea players on the squad now) fair. I suspect it may improve their performance, although I agree the rankings are misleading if not meaningless. |
