INTRO Even though the loaning system works fine as it currently is, it could be spiced up even further by introducing half-season loans. HOW IT WORKS At the time of loaning a player, the manager can either choose full-season or half-season loan. All half-season loans should be given within the first week of a new season and the players come back a week before the Loan Market closes. They could have, say one-week, protection period during which the manager can re-loan or re-sign (for juniors) the player. BENEFITS 1. If all doesn't go well, the manager cuts his losses 2. It will introduce mid-season 'hostiles' that will keep managers tuned in. 3. Allows flexibility as a receiving manager can easily change training pattern within a season. 4. It can provide relatively short cover for a team. Edited by @FC Ubuntu 30-08-2012 12:48 |

i disliked First reason is it makes managers who train well less in demand, Also if you choose half season and cant find a good trainer before loan market closes you are screwed as most managers will have all loans filled I find the current loaning system great, if you get screwed its your fault for loaning to dodgy manager, its a risk and quite fun although i do like mid season hostiles |

All loans shouldn't be going to same persons when there could be better trainers. Also, if you're afraid you can't find a good trainer later in the season, you use the full-season option |

im not saying dont loan to new managers i am just saying do it for a full season, also if you take in 3 loans for full season and send out 3 loans for half a season you could have 28 players for 2nd half of the season | 30/08/2012 14:07 |

I like it for a few reasons, especially if you do a senior loan, you can focus on training someones forward's dribble and then switch to training shot heavier. It's the same way in the reverse, then you're able hold onto one player at a time while still gaining training. I also like it because what if you have a player that you know could help you, but you want his average up a little more, then you get him trained, and you get an improved player back for the run in to the seasons end. Like Bowsey said, it could be a pain to find another loan if you were looking for another, but then again you do have the whole half of the season to find someone, and you could always renew your deal with the other player. I like the hostile idea, but only if players got 48 hours to resign their players before the hostile was allowed. |
