Why does the sim award an offside for ball bouced off the goal post? |

Because according to FIFA, if a player is in an offside position prior to the shot that bounces off of the goalpost, he is still in "a position of advantage" when he takes the rebound. Thus, offsides. | 20/08/2012 12:18 |

Correct. But not if the player (CF) himself is taking a shot at goal, is onside and the ball bounces off the goal post. In that case, he can't be offside...can he? | 20/08/2012 13:54 |

Don't take the SIM too seriously. You'll often see players run away from the ball, blast a pass way beyond it's target, miss a simple shot, only head a ball 2yrds, and plenty of other stupid things. The issue you described is just one of the many issues the SIM has. Don't expect it to be resolved any time soon, if at all. |
