It seems to be a problem with offside traps. If you watch my game in 25 July, you can see that i had 23 offsides, and most of them were players that were going to goal and prefer to pass the ball to other player, without the presence of any opponent. there were cases of 3 to 0 players in front of goal and they dont shoot, they pass. and 23 offsides in 1 game i think it's too many. i suggest that the front players would be smarter in that occasions. Observe that the players who pass the ball instead to try a solo run to the goal, are midfielders. Yes, in a previous thread i complained about that, and i have my own theory: players' behaviour is influenced by the "general characteristics" of their role. What a midfielder mainly do? He pass the ball; so, he will do that. He will try a shoot/solo run to goal only if he does not have passing opportunity. Another example: never happened to you to see your RM/LM crossing the ball into YOUR penalty box when they are in defense? They cross the ball inside their area instead taking a long kick over midfield, simply absurd. This happens because wingers are supposed to cross the ball (i've never seen inner mdfs do that). They seem to be ifluenced in their actions more by the general characteristic of the role rather than by the current play situation. It's particulary evident with midfielders, because they often waste scoring opportunities passing the ball to forwards in clearly offside position. It's not a bug, but a bad defect of this game. Id agree its a defect, but utilize it to your adavantage until something is changed. I have seen in past matches where a throw in became automatic offsides because defenders wrre all way above midfield line on the pitch. | 26/07/2012 17:11 |
