Wow. That's a pretty huge discovery, in my opinion. It is basically like gambling with 50 GB's......because I'm assuming you have no control over the subset that it searches? This is crazy - why would it search a subset when the search itself is placing restrictions on what players to look at??? Damn. Sounds like something needs to change, no?? |

this would tally with scout searches from other manager games i have played having spoked to a dev from other manager game in that game all players were diveded into 4 sectors randomly meaning that 4 managers doing same search would return 100% different players this seemed fair to me as adds element of chance to scouts - a little like itrw so i liked devs rarely give us under the bonnet info here but i hope it works something like this |

Can posit a theory? If you have a 5 ball excellent school. You don't get all 90+ progression players? Why? Because there is still randomness. Why are we assuming that if you have a 99% scout/director that is searches the ENTIRE pool of players? If there are 1,000,000 player records in the system. Maybe a 50% scout/director randomly grabs 200,000 records then filters and a 99% scout/director grabs 800,000 records and filters. Meaning it's likely you will not find what you are looking for if you are being highly specific (like looking for 90+ progression) Can the developers clear up what % scout/director effectively means? Does 99% mean it searches everything or is it just a subset? Does it just affect the time to search? If it is a full data set that retrieve then this is a defect that needs to be addressed. Either way it is disappointing because GBs are involved. |
