I did a quick search on this topic and didn't get any relative responses. Being the Striker Cup a major contest in the game, and a lot of the games ending in a draw and thus the result being settled in a penalty shoot-out, wouldn't it be good for managers to be able to choose their penalty takers? Or what is the criteria being used by the simulator in choosing the players to take the spot kicks? Is it purely random? Thanks, and sorry if there's another topic on this subject. |

I brought this up yesterday after I lost my cup match. My penalty lineup consisted of 2 RMs, an RB, a CDF and my weakest LW. Its not based on kit no. or formation number, nor is it based on overall average. | 06/07/2012 23:58 |

From my multiple penalty shootouts in the SC it appears to go by accuracy of shot. So your best player goes first, followed by whoever has better shooting, all the way down to defenders. | 07/07/2012 17:26 |

Support this suggestion fully. Should have some system at least in cups by which we can decide the kick takers along with the tactics used for the game. I assume the subs and worst case scenarios like marching orders and injuries must be the barriers that keep the devs away from this idea. So in such case that is when kick takers get injured or if they are sent off or mistakenly taken off via substitution then it should go to the next best player. My humble suggestion is Before the match itself there should be a provision by which we can number the whole team as per our choice from 1 to 11 with 11th obviously being the goal keeper so in that case even if the shoot out goes to sudden death, the things will go as per planned. The substituted players should automatically be given the numbers based on their finishing. Thank you Lumiere  |
