Every once in a while, someone will show up in chat with a blank user name. Whenever they post a message, it comes up as having been posted by <>, and their color is white, rather than the color it should be as defined by their kit. I think i may have stumbled onto a cause for this: It looks like trying to join chat on a timed out session might be what causes this nameless item in the list. For example, if open up SM, but don't join chat, go do something else for a while, then open up chat, it will probably fail. Refresh, or navigate to some other page and you should be presented with the login page. Once you log in, you'll be in the chat rooms, but with <> as the user name. There does not seem to be any way to manually fix the situation, rather it's just a matter of waiting it out and letting the server get it figured out. |
