would it be too controvercal if i said i like the current system - it adds alot of randomness to game bit like the match engine isnt it - wholely unpredictable it would be a boring game if u could just get a calculator out and map out your exact progress over the next x number of seasons and uru i unfriended u because u r everywhere and i use friends as easy link to the people i like, so u r still cool and a gr8 funny troll |

No! It would not be too controversial. I exactly share Your point of few. The present system is not unfair, because everybody has got the same chance of having a home game. And I'm not saying that because I've been particularly lucky lately in this regard. As I mentioned before I will have my first homegame this Tuesday after 4 awaygames in a row and I still don't understand what the fuzz is all about. |

Wow, the arguments in this thread are so "convincing". One guy counting the income differences between mine and his team (please never become a researcher), two teams among 50 000 (although the number of active teams is probably much lower). And one guy stating everyone has the same probability of being lucky/unlucky, as if this game is some kind of gambling. Please, let us discuss this issue seriously now. I know Bluegene is right when he says this has already been discussed and still no response from the developers - so probably nothing will be changed this time either. However, only in an dictatorship, that would be a reason not to further discuss it. I will list some of the problems with Striker Cup, not only those I have so far mentioned: * Unfair distribution of home matches * Hard to find the cup tree (you have to go via Results->Striker Cup). This makes it less predictable for those who do not find it. * Unfair ticket income possibilities (lower division teams do not earn more(?), at least not significantly more, when they face a high division team, while high division teams always earn about the same. * No relation to the ranking system, which could have been used for seeding * Long-term consequences of being relegated early. For example, when I was knocked out early in the cup last season (by a higher division team) I lost 7 places in the ranking and a significant number of fans, compared to similar-ranked teams. * No glory. Perhaps partly because it is so hard to find the cup tree, there is no prestige and glory about the cup. Hmm, this one is tricky to explain. More a feeling. |

Every thing we say is not the instructions from head office. If it was there will be enough leave striker campaign by now because of the trolling we do And devs are not dictators. They try and correct any big mistake on their part. When I say they won't do it, it may be because they want their game tuo have that pattern. |

Perhaps partly because it is so hard to find the cup tree, there is no prestige and glory about the cup. Hmm, this one is tricky to explain. More a feeling. One problem with the idea of the biggest stadium always getting home ground is that Div 1 and 2 teams will always be at home (for the most part). So if a Div 1 team plays a Div 7 team, that Div 7 team is going to make 10 games worth of income (probably more) in one hit. On the other hand, if two div 7 teams play each other then neither will get much at all. At least with the way it is now, even if you do draw a div 1 team (from div 7) there is still a chance you won't get much out of it. The tree changes slightly every 2 rounds so that teams who are on the left get pushed over to he right, at least that's my experience, giving credence to the idea that staying in the cup will lead to more income, in general. I agree that using the ranking system to draw the cup is probably not a bad idea, although the ranking system is flawed at the moment too. If you get knocked out early then it's either bad luck, or you're not good enough. Deal with it. The cup is discussed frequently in general chat and the final games are watched by many. I believe you feel this way because you are rarely involved in these things (at least as far as I'm aware). For me, the system is fair as it is, you have yet to convince me otherwise man.
