Would players be in favour of a new league system?
i.e. we currently have 1 x division1, 4 x division2, 16 x division3, etc
Change it to 1 x division1, 1 x division2, 1 x division3............ 1 x divisionX

I think it would make divisions a lot more interesting as matches would be between evenly matched teams, and progression (levelling up) would be more achievable (a lot more divisions).

Not sure how'd you do the initial assigning to a division, but wouldnt imagine it'd be too difficult.

With ~32k teams in the game, and 20 teams per division, it would take ~ forever to fight your way to the top if you get promoted 1-2 times per season. I think the current division system is fine, and I think it will be even better after this season when the relegation and promotion settle down. 04/04/2012 20:52

I can imagine a new structure like suggested for the first few levels, for example 1group first, second and third divisions and two groups 4th division (let's call it "the professional leagues"). On this level You find mostly managers who are commited enough to stick around for more than just a few weeks, unlike the lower leagues, where a lot of teams are run by system bots.

But all the "amateur leagues" below would have to operate with the present systems, otherwise no newbie would be able to make it to the "professional leagues" within the next couple of hundred years.
