Hello and Welcome to "Know your @" we have a very well know @ in here "@REBSIOT" He will be interviewed by shariq97 today so sit back enjoy it 1)<shariq97>how does it feel to be interviewed by a small manager like shariq97? <@rebsiot>Small is a state of mind. ask any chihuahua. I only feel bad about losses and stupid mistakes. And I only like talking about me. So I like it. 2)<shariq97> first of all what affect and role does Striker manager play in your life? <@rebsiot> it's a time sink earlier, i spent way too much time on here. probably interfered, but my wife had angry birds  work was slow, so no big dealnow i have struck sort of a balance, so it's much better. 3)<shariq97> hmm how were your initial stages in this game?? <@rebsiot> so my gameplay probably evolved liekthis <@rebsiot> 1) clueless noob so that lasted 1 week got a crap team, then realized there was a distinct weakness in teams issued during a three week time period so I asked for a reset, and got it bumped my avg 5 points, but lost a few people ok, so i'm at like 42 avg maybe and 2M bucks...got the stadium going. with MBA, i always knew infrastructure was key so I started building right off so buidling the stadium, I acquired a bunch of undervalued players very shady deals i ended up getting sanctioned for them. it was my birthday so i figured i'd start a new game this one was on chrome market, so it was random what attracted me, it was soccer logged in, saw it was management, not real time I hate "real time" games probably due to my age this was more strategic so it fit my personality 4)<shariq97> Do you have any special buddies in here?? <@rebsiot> it's no secret that I'm good friends with gunnernic and cello but only really through the game I would easily hang out with any pirate tho they are all good people. 5)<shariq97> what respect do you have for them? <@rebsiot> you either have it or you don't and you have to respect yourself first. once you respect yourself, respecting others is natural 6)<shariq97> any reason having gunner and cellog as close friends ? <@rebsiot> probably similar outlooks and ages both same age with kids, like to win, very intelligent they complement my approach to the gamewe each have our own way of doing things so where I am weak, I seek their wisdom 7)<shariq97> Have the recent bugs and updates introduced by the developers affected you and your game play in a drastic way? <@rebsiot> no. I played similar offense and defense from div 6 thru div 2 the simulator didn't affect me, getting my ass handed to me did defensively I was more porous than all other teams working for promoition 8)<shariq97> thats good to here ...now how do you fell being a part of a respected community PL like the pirates? <@rebsiot> well, i'm just the front man <@rebsiot> like flavor flav of pirates 9)<shariq97> hmm Who do you think is the most trust able manager in this game? <@rebsiot> that is like respect you either trust or not but. I reveal certain secrets to certain people as a matter of course. friendship determines that 10)<shariq97> if you had to take a name who would be that? <@rebsiot> I would trust any pirate period. then there are several other players I would deal with and know my confidence is well kept easily 20 others. 11) <shariq97> now comming to your job .... how do you take it .........just like a normal responsibility or much more than that?? <@rebsiot> it takes a lot of time probably more than 60% of all game time to deal with @ responsibility 12)<shariq97> how did you fell getting an offer to become a @ ..........were you shocked? <@rebsiot> it was no surprise i suspected i would be asked for at least a month priorand was asked a month before any non@ knew 13)how did your friends react seeing that you became a @? <@rebsiot> in july people started talking in august there was groundswell of people saying I should be @ of course, I always said, no way. impossible first week of sep, @rand asked me first week of oct, it was announced everyone was very happy to see it even in beginning, when i would buy players under value i would make sure others knew they were selling at a deal i still payed fine for it  but i do same things I did before just now i seek out cheaters with more tools dealing with any shady deals I'd made and self reporting even ones that could have been close. I took 2 fines as a result immediately after I was asked to be @ the surprise I guess was that I was asked after being most vocal critic of @. esp. with my relationship w/ @dns. but we straightened that out quickly now everyone knows that he is a cool dude14<shariq97> i am sure you have faced a lot of problems in your stay till now in SM .which was the toughest? <@rebsiot> as a team, biggest problem was a large debt load in august and sep...then again in october i was in red off and on for a number of weeks in desperate bid to keep up building as a player, dealing with a few sales that were borderline sales that I made, not that I was investigating as an @. there were couple of times that we had to say "tell us, do something, or we quit" 15)<shariq97> hmm how would feel i you get to know that a close friend is back biting u ? <@rebsiot> i don't cross bridges before I come to them <@rebsiot> worry about what you can control, the rest will sort itself out. <@rebsiot> I don't subscribe to the "just world fallacy" though. 16)<shariq97> for how many more season do you wish to stay? <@rebsiot> i can't control or predict that day 17)<shariq97> what is your point of view on the delay being made by the devs to fix the bugs? it's understandable. We all have priorities. but it doesn't take much time to say "look, we have other priorities, here is when we are going to get to you" if you say "next week or two" and it is 4 weeks later shit is going to hit the fan 18)<shariq97> who do you take your roll model as in this game? <@rebsiot> me. i take my own path. 19)<shariq97> how were your recent season? <@rebsiot> the season started out with same goal as everyone: win i figured, looking at group, I was 4th or 5th everyone seemed to think I was 2nd or 3rd but I was spot on in my assessment a case of self-fulfilling prophecy i had disadvantage of facing culeatopee and vija first week of season with no available games to view on them i had no tactics of course, the second time I met them showed that my tactical ability was overrated by others 20)<shariq97> what is your agenda for the next season?? <@rebsiot> agenda is to win. there are a few people that know what i have in mind but basically, improve team average and make it so I can stay in div 1 21)<shariq97> peaple compare your stories and uruguay's stories ..your point of view on that? <@rebsiot> they are different by about 25 years and several degrees of personality and culture I was a brash, overconfident asshole 22)<shariq97> do you still wish he get a Girlfriend? <@rebsiot> uru is not uru will do fine 23)<shariq97> what is your point of view on the recent SC cup final? <@rebsiot> cule has a great team and great tactics. it's a shame I couldn't beat him. <shariq97> and rishu? <@rebsiot> rishu has a great team and great tactics. It's a shame I couldn't beat him 24)<shariq97> what do you think about the controversy of cule being a cheater? <@rebsiot> he didn't win because of that he won 4-0 but first things first <shariq97> u want to tell anything abt it.? <@rebsiot> using a premium is not cheating maybe uncool, but it is what it is. but the real impact of a premium is .5 on avg of every player so this would have a marginal impact on the game so things happen. but he didn't win because of the premium i went out of cup in similar fashion but shots on goal shots hitting goalie, i think. either way, cule deserved the win. so the cheating accusation is unfounded there was a game where a person used something like 40 premiums in a game and lost. so whatever. <shariq97>Well thank you for serving us your precious time with us..  <@rebsiot>thank u Edited by shariq97 28-03-2012 12:45 |
