Here's what you do. Get a degree in something you love doing. Spend as little money as you can while doing it. Student loans are death. Then do that for a living. Most people get a degree in something they think will make them money. And then do something they hate for the rest of their life because they are conforming to what society told them would get them rich. Then they hate themselves later on for listening. So for college, I tell everyone to do these things: 1) Do what you love to do in college. Not what they tell you. Take as few loans out as you can. 2) Take road trips with friends. This is the one time in your life you will not be anchored, and can go anywhere, sleep on a couch, and be comfortable. This will change as you get older. So travel. 3) Take a spring break and actually go somewhere and party...even if you don't participate in drunken debauchery, at least hang out on the beach with the beautiful women. If you do, then do not get caught on video. 4) Condition yourself to approach members of the opposite gender. No matter what. Do this. If you do not make a fool of yourself 100 times, then you have failed in your mission. By doing this, you increase the chance of meeting the right person 10000% If you do not, you will settle. (You do not have to sleep with everyone you meet, you do need to speak with confidence) |

I know what happy is supposed to be. Those are not easy, or cheap, lessons to learn. If I did it, I wouldn't be here  Or married Or have student loans.... The list goes on  But I do have a good wife and good kids. So if I can get them through school with good grades and possible scholarships and not having kids of their own, I've done my job well. |
