Langkymus said: I figure I should create a separate thread on discussing minute details of tactics. 1. Corner kicks: does anybody have pointers on how to position your players in a corner kick? 2. Offside traps: do you pull your defenders behind the ball when it is close to the goal? 3. Effectiveness of DFs: my DFMs are running most of the defense. Maybe I can do the stuff in 2 to increase their effectiveness? Please comment. Thanks guys. 1. Attacking corners I put my players in a "plus +" formation, like CF in front of the GK, IM on the penalty spot, LIM and RIM to the left and right of the IM and my second attacker behind the IM. Defending corners I put my LDF CDF RDF in a row infront of the GK and DFM above them but either to the left or right depending on which side and have LIM IM RIM hanging outside the box. 2. Have the defenders in line with the ball for each position and have the green bar set at the highest position. That is the basic form of an offside trap, it is risky to do it without fast defenders now so I would suggest putting them not so high as the ball enters your half of the pitch and at the last row have the defenders behind the ball. 3. Not entirely sure what you mean, if you're thinking about playing 2 DFM's instead of 1 then that would be a good idea. |

CDFs are really good in the opposition box. Try it and see. Doesn't work well with RDF for some reason. Also the Nationality of the player matters. Keep him in the six yard box. | 07/03/2012 17:02 |
