Should a income tax system be incorporated to create Super Stars

Firstly this is inspired from Dee's topic on economics: http://uk.strikermanager.com/foros/hilo.php?id=276326 This will tax the higher earners more than those earning less. This will enable a sort of leveler in the game. Also unlike real life there should not be any tax deductions but rather a set percentage based on the income and the percentage just gets larger up to say 50% for the really high earners. Everyone will pay the tax and they could then create super stars based on that taxed money as this will indicate how much money is in the pool. So a few super stars could be created based on all the monies taken in. So the managers who are earning huge sums will be given an extra incentive to save but the price will be set for the super stars based on the income of the whole game. So if 1Billion is taken in in taxes then 10 super stars of 100M can be created. This will mean that another 1billion will be taken out of the system from the higher earners as they will want to buy those super stars. Or at least the starting price will be 100M. I have no idea what the managers in div 2 and 3 are pulling in per game or what their expenses are. But at least this will act as a sort of end of season special. Where a chunk of the cash in the system is pulled out and invested into super star players, then again the money will be pulled out from the richer teams as they will be the only ones able to afford the super star players. So it act's as a double up on the higher earning teams. So they could even call it the "Super Star Tax" Income Tax <1M 25% 1M-10M 35% 10M-50M 45% >50M 55% |

The more you pay for a player the more tax you pay already. Also if a manager puts in a lot of money and time into building a stadium why should he be punished for this by having to pay out a big pump sum for his hard work. Most good managers have a good youth structure and develop there players in the junior ranks so there is not a big amount spent on buying senior players.Money is mode from selling on these players so its the improving manager that will get hit with the tax and the gap you want to shorten will only get bigger. This eax might also deter managers from improving there stadium to increase income because the last thing you want to see is a big tax bill when you start making some money. I think there would be more managers going bankrupt as a result and more system bot teams to play against which would only make games boring playing bots most day. It takes time for a developing manager to bridge the gap but it also takes effort on his behalf to invest his money wisely and concentration on making a financially viable club before spending big money on a over priced player that will eat you bank balance. Its not the big boys who drive up prices its the middle man but if you want the player and you have the money then why not.If managers stop paying for over priced players then the price will soon be lowered. |

biking a 55% tax on a 50m player = the player being worth 78m. Ur idea will just to inflation rather than curbing it. Edited by lucifercave 03-03-2012 11:40 |

I agree I know the tax levy is just off the top of your head but overall its a bad idea for me. All this would do is punish managers who are trying to improve there team/stadium and take money from them and it would increase player prices overall as when the time comes to sell on a player, the seller would have to take the tax paid into account and thus increase the selling price. I cant think of a solution that you are trying to fix and well done for your efforts on this but for me its all about time and good management.Noting happens overnight and if there is some players who are here from the start of SM then they deserve the added advantage of a better team more money more experience and a better understanding of the game. All we can do is learn from these great managers who have made SM what it is and hope some day that we can in some way get near there level. Trying to stop big boy income will never happen and fair play to them for getting to that level but taxing things will only make it more difficult to bridge the gap. Maybe a higher prize fund like say 10M for winners of div 5 6 7 would help managers to reinvest and it would make leagues/groups more interesting to play as there would be a good incentive to play well.Along with accessories there should be a min stadium size and a min general/PRO seating as you move up a division. This would help in the long run and let managers who just want to build a team see that there is much more to this game then a good team. Its about finding the balance of team/money/youth development. |

Another thing we already pay tax while buying a player and it would be a bad idea to incorporate more tax! Edited by rajeev20198 03-03-2012 13:12 |
