If you want players to sell, China is a great place for a school. My last two have been a 39/14 RB and a 34/14 RDF. It's definitely worthwhile.

If you want players to keep, look elsewhere. Progression is usually 40-50 (I've had as low as 12) from my low quality school. I've had the school for two seasons and only kept one player in that time. Not sure what a high or excellent would bring, but I wouldn't be optimistic.

Just my two cents.

I used to have a regular china school, it returned players regularly with 3 balls (this was before I knew a mouseover showed exact progression). I closed it because averages were so low. Didn't know they doubled when you promote . Yes, I was a newbie once too... 17/02/2012 02:34

So please help or advise me.
Is it really worth my while opening a school or is it going to be an added expence to my pay day.?
Also would it be a constant " sell on players exercise " for a little profit OR is there money to be made from a school.

I am constantly saying I will or I won't...please advise

I've had my Uruguay excellent school now for about 3 months. I've received about 6-7 players, can't remember now. At first I was excited, now I'm thinking of closing it down. Highest progression so far, 60.25%. What a waste. I'm constantly trying to offload these players on the market to recoup my weekly expenses, sometimes it works other times it's a major fail and a pain in the ass. Overall, I'm thinking it's not worth it. Scout can find me some really good prog players for cheap enough with GB search and they are in the position that I desire not just a random "OM" that I don't use in my formation. On sale by the way in my juniors. See what happens. LOL 17/02/2012 08:05

I'm quite happy with my excellent school in Uruguay. For very little money it produced a number of players with a progression of over 60. The best so far is a CF with progression 76.

That is exactly what Im thinking of really/Constant trying to off load school players (sometimes for very low price just to sell I think) when I struggle to train all my juniors at the mo LOL.The cost of a school and expenses I feel is hard to recoup with a school of even reg or in some cases depends on country/regularity of incoming players.
So GB search.....I tried a few times to do this with really NO results.I might have searched for any midfielder with 80% plus avg but got results of no players so I wasted GBs that I dont have. What should I search for and what parameters ? Oh I konw I should search no more and just buy your OM.....LOLLL

i think it is more based on sheer luck and randomness and also it vary from manager to manager . i mean if a school (of any quality ) is good for someone it is not necessary that the same school with the same quality be good for someone else
i have a Dutch school that has produced some 9 or 10 players until now and let me tell you it has been terrific for me till now as i got 2 or 3 60+ prog players and one 70+ prog player. same wont be happening for another manager with the same school, Also its not happening with say my Excellent Newzealand school or my regular Argentine school so seeing it i have upgraded that particular school(Dutch) to Normal quality and hopefully i will get even better players

so in my opinion, do not go all out to create a High or Excellent school pretty quickly, first create a Regular school and evaluate the kinda players that come out of there, if you are satisfied with the average, then go for upgrading or else leave it and go for another school, then again you can use the old school to make money by player sales
just my observation, thats it

Thank you
