According to the rules if one person is found to be controlling two teams this is considered a cardinal sin worthy of outright dismissal from the game.

Personally I don't see why this is such a bad thing.

1. More real players means fewer bots. that's good for everyone.
2. From a revenue model perspective, since teams can't share GB's, paying customers would have to spend more to maintain their teams. That's good for business.
3. I enjoy this game so much with just one team, and I am sure I'd enjoy it doubly much with two!
4. Since the system already detects shared ip addresses, players can't shill or otherwise manipulate transactions for their other team.

So, why not?

Very untrue, there are many many many ways around this.

ex. this is how to cheat...

ex2. Two people (Or one, using the aforementioned example) create 40 accounts each and transfer the money to each other quickly, in a matter of days a single player could have billions.
--- we find this. and punish it severely.

It's absolutely deservedly worth dismissal.

1. More real players means fewer bots. that's good for everyone.
- but they aren't real. They're the same people. So eventually, if it is a good player, they could be forced play against themselves in group play. This has many effects.
1) you use one team to test formations/packages/tactics - unfair advantage over single account player
2) If you are so good you end up getting both teams to div 3, you squeeze out a real person who is looking to promote. Allowing double or more teams shrinks the number of promotable *people* 50% or more
3) Pooling knowledge - This inhibits the social aspect of the game. you want more knowledge, make friends, not teams.

These are just off the top of my head.

2. From a revenue model perspective, since teams can't share GB's, paying customers would have to spend more to maintain their teams. That's good for business.
Teams would share GB inherently. If you have 2 teams, and you do a GB search with team A, you can't eject the information. You use it for the other team. Additionally, you are given 200GB to start a new team. This actually hurts revenue, not helps. Even worse, it could contribute to inflation by creating more teams purchasing players...no one wants that.

3. I enjoy this game so much with just one team, and I am sure I'd enjoy it doubly much with two!
Try the brazil server. http://br.strikermanager.com
Of course, it's in portuguese, but a lot of players on here also have a team on the brazil server. You can have 1 account on each.

4. Since the system already detects shared ip addresses, players can't shill or otherwise manipulate transactions for their other team.
Actually, it makes multiplayers much harder to detect for the system. If you allow multi-accounts, then the primary weapon against them, IP address. It makes pyramid schemes even more difficult to find.
There are many ways people multi-account, and we are catching more and more of them. and *you* will be caught.
