What's the difference between the two?

In man to man do defenders follow the attackers and move out of the position setup for them?
And in "zone " marking do defenders stay in the position setup for them in advanced tactics?

In what situations would you use them or why one over the other?

zone makes them play in there formation setup and man to man makes them cover up the other guy
i play man to man when facing a better team cause it allows my players to have more possesion and get a better shhot
and usually i play 40% on that line

Just a heads up, every single game doctor report I've done so far, man to man marking usually is part of the cause 24/01/2012 13:24

If you want an example watch my Sunday game. The first half I played about 70% man. The second half I switched to 70% zone.

I think that playing zone requires more energy- if the zone is broken your players need to recover quickly. Low energy zone doesn't make sense to me, but that's my twocents.

Best scorer
It is true that Zonal marking requires more stamina than Man to man.

But Man to man can easily screw up your off side trap in case you use it OT.

Also if you play less effort or your players are low with stamina, my advice would be go for man to man marking.
