It's almost certainly been done to death before but wouldn't it be great to have the chance to manage your national team on here..?..The best manager in each division gets the top job with their country...able to call up the best players of their country from the players available from the teams in their league. Then each league has an International tournament throughout the season. I'd enjoy my players being called up let alone being the manager. Maybe build in a financial reward for the teams that have the players called on. I think it would give an interesting new angle on the game.. | 14/01/2012 13:02 |

It'd take a lot of work to do + who chooses the best players? If its the top ranked manager, they'd take all of their players for the financial reward. If it was the devs, spain would wib every time... However, Spanish sm vs English sm would ve interesting |

What if having a player called up was actually a penalty? In the real world losing players to national games hurts. Would be cool if the system ran a world league (ie: world cup type tournament yearly). The system managed the teams as system bots and players were called up based on their performance in the system similar to way "awards" work. A manager could decline a player going to games, etc. The benefit of letting the player go is that their experience would accelerate more quickly. Their training would improve more. Finally their "star" ability would accelerate. This makes a current manager have to think twice about letting a player go up to the national team, but rewards them for doing so. It also lets everyone here see their national team in action. |
