Anybody familiar with using a RF/LF setup? I am considering going from a 4-5-1 to a 4-4-2 setup using a LF/RF combo. Does this work well? If so, what tactics would you suggest I use for them? All help would be appreciated! Post here or pm me personally. Thanks! ![]() |

They have more speed than CFs and better finishing than wingers.(They have good all round attacking ability) They can be played in the center or more towards the wings.(Via Adv formation) Well if you play 4-4-2 , then you'll have 4 midfielders so playing more of short passes will not be a bad idea. About more details, i think you should read some team's(who is using LF/RF combo) game play, who is doing excellent in the top divisions. |

you can make them work better when your 4 4 2 include DFM and OM. And you play short passes, attack in the middle. | 12/01/2012 07:00 |

I use a 4-4-2 Diamond formation. The advantage of it is its great versatility. On the attacking side, i've basically got a 5 man cross and on defense, i've got 4 men in a tight line with the DFM roaming side to side, cleaning up what the LDF, CDF, CDF, RDF line can't handle. The key to the attacking side for me is the strong play of my OM. When he has the ball, he has three options for scoring. Do it himself, or send it off to one of the two Forwards. With some good striker training, an OM can become just as effective at shooting as the forwards, essentially giving a triple threat in and around the Penalty area. Watch some of my games where i use that formation to get an idea on how to set the advanced formation up. If you have further questions, feel free to ask directly. |

Mozleron's tactic is pretty much exactly my own, but I try to minimize the number of times my OM shoots. Spacing in the offensive third is the crucial adjustment. My setup, combined with a nasty offside trap, took me to div2, routinely beating teams with an average of 10+ better than mine. I would recommend using your 74 IM as the distributor in your current squad. To be honest, an OM wouldn't make that much of a difference in my opinion. |

Yeah, i currently use my 2 IM's in the mid just behind where a OM would play, and the last game he, and my RF (playing as a CF) both scored 2 goals and 2 assists lol. I adjusted my defense from earlier this season, and i literally have 10 guys suffocating the ball no matter where you go. It's kinda funny actually! |
