Hi, I have a few questions about players' skills. I read the FAQ and either I didn't see what I was looking for so here goes. Feel free to point me to the FAQs if you feel I haven't read them properly., 1) I am in division 6 and the average of my club is about 30. Yet, I find that the top-level teams average 50 (some are bots). So now I'm stuck in the middle of the pack and I want to move up. I hired a new coach. I'm trying to make sure I train properly (is there a working "Training" table? The ones I saw in the FAQ don't update when you modify some values). Is there something else I should be looking at? Do I have any hope of reaching 45/50 by training or can I only do that by buying/selling players? 2) I bought a player earlier and his average was 30, or 31 I think. Now it's at 28. Is there a way for me to see how he has progressed since the beginning of the season? The History only says that I bought him from another team. 3) When looking at the simulation, is there a way to go to certain events directly? For example, there was a penalty shot that my team missed (AARGH!) and it cost me a tie, at the very least. I'd like to see what happened but I don't want to watch the whole simulation. Is this possible? Is it possible for corners and other such events? 4) When a player is injured, and there is no substitution rule for him, what happens? Do I end up playing with 10 players or is the best available player sent on the pitch? 5) In my last game, the starting formation was the one that was playing after substitutions after the previous match, Do I have to reset my formation between every match or does is my starting lineup supposed to take the pitch automatically? 6) Sometimes I move players around to see how it affects my average on the pitch, but it seems like if a player has a morale of 99, then I put him as a sub, and put him back as a starter, his morale is not returned to 99. Is this normal? Note that when I do this, I do it in a span of a few minutes. That is, there is no game between the time I take the player from the starter list and reinsert him. 1. Your best bet to improve your team quickly is to purchase better players, although that's tougher this season because market prices are very high. 2. Most likely his morale is down. Average drops when morale drops. Use a psychologist to improve morale. 3. If you click the red arrow at the right of the screen, you can see the commentary for the game. Scroll through that to see when the plays occurred and then slide the ball to that point in the game. 4. No, it substitutes the best player available on your bench, which isn't always the correct position. Many people think this needs to be improved in the simulator. 5. Not sure...mine has always returned to the starting formation. 6. Click the save button and then return to the line up screen. Those players' morale will return to 99. |

1. It's not a race to the top, if your average is 30 then you can possibly beat teams with an average of 40-45 if you work out how tactics work. Invest in your youth, a 14 yr old who's average 10 now(with good progression), can be a 19 year old average 60 quite easily. 2. Low morale, click on your Psych every day and use him. If morale is like 85 then you need to add 15% on to get the guys real average. 4) Subs in highest average(i.e. don't have a really good second GK on your bench otherwise he might end up upfront. 5) Starting formation every time, however that can change if you've sold/bought players or temp promoted/promoted juniors. 6) Ignore it, it used to worry me, it does nothing |

OK, thanks for all the answers. I started working with my psychologist. Now I need o better work with my juniors. I tend not to use them. L |
