I understand that release clause is a function of many things, including the player salary, age, average, progression, forecast, fidelity, and a few more that i might not be aware of. So when a player gain one year at end of a SM season, the age increases and presumable a few others like forecast might also change. So based on these number, does the release clause of the player also go down? Anyone had experience in this? | 07/01/2012 10:45 |

Release clause is only calculated by the system on Average and Age when a player is promoted from a school, but is mostly determined by the manager thereafter, although a release clause cannot be lowered to below the system's built in release amount. Release clause and salary are permanently linked ---> change the salary, you change the release clause. Release clause wont change unless the manager changes it (by increasing or reducing salary). Release clause is not linked to forecast or progression. |

Another thing to note is that when a player gets a year older, you'll need to pay him more just to keep the same release clause. | 07/01/2012 12:34 |

So for two hypothetical identical player, one aged 25 and one aged 26, release clause is different with release clause of player aged 25 higher than that of one aged 26. Which brings me back to my question that when a player aged one year at end of a SM season, since he has aged one year, will his release clause go down due to the factor of age. |

No it just costs more to re-sign him and keep the same release clause. | 07/01/2012 12:55 |

Release clause is not linked to forecast or progression. You say that release clause is not linked to progression and forecast. Fine. But I have been reading somewhere in the forum that there is this invisible variable called fidelity (club loyalty) which it is linked to. So thats three 1) Average 2) Age 3) Fidelity. anything else or just these three? |
