If the other team isn't playing anti-offside trap effectively, that team loses. |

Abaxido said: yes they are!... You cant use malaria to cure malaria and call it something else Abaxido, please take a moment and reflect a bit more. No one is saying that you have to play an offside trap against a team that plays offside trap in order to win. If you have a much stronger defense than your opponent's offense, you won't need to. However, if your offense never gets a chance to shoot the ball because every forward pass results in an offside call, you will either tie, or lose on a lucky goal (free kick/penalty/lucky shot from your opponent). If your opponent plays high offside trap, you must design a strategy where the ball is run forward rather than passed, and if you have multiple forwards racing ahead, that any pass to one of them is on-side if they get behind the last defender. Should you also choose to play an offside trap against your opponent, that can be effective too. Just because your opponent plays the offside trap doesn't mean he has played against one or knows how to counteract it. So you DON'T need to play offside trap to beat an offside trap team. You CAN play offside trap in the hopes that the opponent doesn't know how to fight it. Capiche? |
