hey guys anybody knows whether there has been some changes in the offside rule?? specifically the one about calling offside in the opponents half? in my recent game there were a few occasions my defenders were in the opponents half and the opponent's attackers were definitely ahead of the defenders (by a large margin on couple of occasions) but the offside was not called... any of you guys experienced it?? |

I've noticed that a couple of times. It would seem that players are no longer being called offside in their own half. I'd say we need a bigger sample though. I've also noticed that through balls have improved quite a bit. Both of these things are good  Edited by practicesquad 03-01-2012 08:25 |

watch my match... u will get a good sample  i just began to use offside in my league this season and the disaster happened  my opponent was breaking the offside trap so easily... and yes his midfielders were playing good long balls into empty spaces behind my defenders which allowed his attackers to run onto the ball... |

ya i realized that... i will pull them back for the next match... but how did he play those long through balls?? some change in settings?? maybe playing counterattack or something like that... what do you think | 03/01/2012 10:16 |

I would say counter attack, my players rarely play balls like that but I play 75% short passing so you would expect it. I've played against people who have tried countering but my defenders are pretty quick so even if they get by I can usually catch them. i think in some games .the attackers are going back to break the offside trap , on their own .. depending in there speed to go back .. they can break the offside trap .. maybe thats an update .. maybe not .. dono | 03/01/2012 12:36 |
