Child's coach
Me too!

First I lost income because the season ended one game short (37 instead of 38 games), and now I have this no income cup draw. Pretty annoying. That's about 600 000 I'm out of pocket. I could be buying up some cheap youth players with that.....

one thing i just noticed, and i think it's super interesting and unfair, is that all the division 2 teams are playing cup games at home...... how silly is this ?
the lower teams, that are struggling with money should have priority over the major teams. in any cup of any country, the major teams only start playing cup games when most of the small teams are already out. the FA Cup, copa del rey, taca de portugal, copa TIM, etc..., start at the same time as the league, but only with teams of lower divisions, they start playing against each other and knocking each other out. then when most of them are out, the 3rd, 2nd and 1st division get in the pot for the draw. I don't know if this is new for the developers, but they should've made a bit more research developing the striker cup.
when i saw i had no opponent for the cup game tomorrow, i went for the other teams of my league and my division to see if any of them had cup games, but since none of them had, i thought it was normal, i figured there weren't enough teams to start the cup so early in the game.
but out of curiosity i went to see the new division 2 and the games they will have this week, and i was really surprised and upset when i found out they will have a massive income tomorrow ( all of them are playing at home ) and most of the other teams, from lower divisions will struggle for yet another week with no income.
this is obviously a massive handicap for the small teams and clearly favourable for the big teams, most of them managed by @..... i don't know if this was done on purpose for the rich teams to be richer and dominate the game entirely, or if it's a bug... but i would like to see this fixed ASAP.

i think the game would benefit a lot more by adapting the striker cup to how it happens in real life.
The last 4 divisions should start 1st, while the first 3 divisions would have free time to play friendlies.
the teams from the 4 lower divisions would play some knock out rounds against teams of the same group first, then when only 4 or 5 were left, they would play knock out rounds against teams from different groups of the same division until there were only 10 or 11 left. then play all those teams that survived so far against each other until 20 or 30 were left and then bring the 3 higher divisions into the pot to start playing striker cup.

this would be fairer because the big teams would have lower incomes with friendlies that with cup games in the beginning and the smallish teams would have some income from cup games rather than no income at all because as things stand they can't even play friendlies. once teams are knock out of the cup, they can arrange mid-week friendlies to get some income as it happens at the moment.

i hope that @ at least consider this suggestion.

it's better to play at a Div. 2 stadium, the income will be MUCH higher and it is split 2 ways. You might make more from that game than 3 of home games in Div. 7 29/12/2011 00:05

might be so, but at the moment the money is being split 50/50 between the top teams, and the lower ones are watching and asking for loans.
every country have a national stadium like the wembley stadium in london, england where the cup final is played.
maybe the developers could create a stadium ( maybe a clone of an average stadium with all type of seats ), for the sole purpose of having cup games, every team play in that stadium and the income would be split 50/50.
this might sound a bit extreme, but it's still better then the current situation.
