This thread is for voting on the current suggestions to make the high-line off-side fairer to attackers. Once we have a fair number of votes, I can make the developers aware of the thread so they can see how you feel about it. Whether they implement it is another story but then at least we have made the effort to inform them. Note: Normal offside play is not the issue here - its the high line (defenders over the halfway line) offside that stay there even if the trap is broken because invariably a goal isn't scored anyway. So far we have: 1. Attackers cannot be called for offside in their own half. 2. More long-balls or through-balls for attackers to run onto. (Defenders GK can also run out to kick it away to make it more exciting) 3. Constant hacking down from behind by the defender should produce a red card. If a defender is genuinely quicker than the dribbling attacker he should run back past him and try a proper tackle once - either miss, get the ball or foul. 4. Once a mid or attacker is through the offside trap, he should not pass to a player ahead of the ball but rather take the ball up himself or wait for an attacker to come back on-side. 5. Two attackers versus one GK should produce a goal most of the time, 1v1 maybe 50% of the time. 6. An Advanced Tactic trigger to allow a manager to change formation if there has been too many offside calls. So vote for the numbers you want (in priority order) and add any other suggestion you may have. If you feel a point is invalid, dont vote for it. 1, 2, 4, 3 ,5, 6. Don't really experience too many problems with off-sides in my league of non-active managers but from time to time in private league I do. I think guys should just try and play honestly, don't use the flaws of the game to your advantage. It's supposed to be a simulator so do the game justice and play it as such. "Winning isn't everything it's the only thing" I hear you saying. Well, it's only a game and it's supposed to be fun, use the proper tactics and stop being so negative about the game. Anyway, little bit of a rant there. I suppose we have to find a way to curb the negative tactics so that's my order up top. |

12345 equally. 6 is distant I-don't-like-this-idea for me. I think it would make the game and the sim too complicated. After all, why not settings for if a player is sent off or for injuries, etc.? 4 3 2 1 5 6 i don't think should and would be implemented because the essence of this game is adjusting your tactics earlier... not everyone can be there when matches are being played so it would be unfair on them |

We already have Advance Tactics. So it could be something like - At the beginning of 2nd half, If offsides greater than 10, trigger a change |
