Having a dedicated training academy is perfectly acceptable in this game - its a feature that makes the game interesting. I highly doubt that the developers will change it. There is no advantage over a standard mixed position junior academy. The specialized manager HAS TO BUY all his other positions he is not training! These specialized training academies are a benefit to everybody - one can book a GK with the manager for a future purchase which then saves you having to train your own future GK. The same can go for any position. Personally I train GK and CF with some LM RM as well so I'm semi specialized. With the new sim it makes sense to add some other attackers into the mix because they benefit even more from the CF training. So in my opinion a semi specialized training academy is the best way to go. |

@rebsiot said: I think that you should have a minimum number to field any 1 formation on the junior team. Or no training for that day. That would mean a minimum of 1 gk 1 forward 3 midfielders and 3 defenders. And 11 total players. I agree |

Okay lets not say about gaining more money from auctioning those players.. Paying full release clause really means you have met the demands of the seller manager(say)... And i have done that because i wanted a player as a replacement.. But why should i store double or triple than what i need?? I have 2 LBs for my need and say another one just in case if those two are unavailable.. Do i need have 6 in my squad?? Absolutely not.. | 05/12/2011 16:27 |

I am talking about how many players of one position you can actually keep in your squad(Buying and Selling thing you see). |

dneighbors said: Personally, I think this is a symptom of a poorly implemented training system. The current system rewards people that train by position. No real team would only train CF or GK or IM and not train any other position, but in this game that is rewarded. Smart players then stock up on a certain position that they are training for and then sell the surplus. You can't really fault them. I don't like the idea of restricting by position. I do like the idea that if you have more than a starter and 2nd for a particular position that a player that you are trying to hostile may request more more years of contract or a higher salary. Simply because no way in real life someone that is getting playing time as a starter would leave a team to be 4th or 5th string for a slight bump in pay. Fixing training to prevent stock piling positions would be even better. +1 |

well, the way I see it, if you worked hard to get yourself in to a position that you can buy (hostile) whoever you want, why the hell not. If I want 5-6 GK on my team and I can afford them, I should be able to do it? I personally think that this is the case of "I don't do it, I don't want other people do it either". If someone hostiled your player and sold it on the market for a higher price, your fault. If someone wants to train GK's for example, and 2 seasons later sells them for a crap load of money, good for them. It's called long term investment. I don't agree with the statement that soccer should be a constant struggle. I don't think that any of the well established teams are struggling to survive. |

So what if someone has bought my player, even i bought someone else's player. Idiotic comment. dneighbors said: Personally, I think this is a symptom of a poorly implemented training system.
