I am obviously losing matches or drawing when I should be winning due to offsides. I've had over 15 per games sometimes. Is there a way to "train" the forwards so this doesn't happen? 07/11/2011 17:08

Its happened to me,last match my team got 18 offsides, and the opponent 0 offside, even i pull my defensive player forward,,so live commentary is only about offside..

You have to really pay attention to your tactics. I had the same problem, and sometimes I still do depending on what the opponent is doing, but I found that I had to change BOTH my formation AND my tactics. I tend to limit the counter-attacks and do more short passes, along with positioning my forwards in the right place. The default is for forwards to move forward when the ball is going forward, but you can alter this using an advanced formation.

A good CF will help too - after watching better teams, it looks like their CF's "know" when they are offside and try to get onside before they receive a pass.

Yes, pay attention to the placement of your FWD bar in the tactics. If you have this very high up the pitch and the opposition also plays a high defence with zonal marking, you will end up offside a lot. 07/11/2011 18:29

Ok, I watched your game for 20 mins. You CF is way too far forward. Considering that your opponent had his defenders level with the 6 yard box, you really shouldn't have been offside. Pull him back in advanced formation, there's a good tutorial about it in the FAQ's section.
