It would be nice if there were a way you could train LB/RB to be able to contribute some on offense in an overlapping role. This could be via crossing and or shots on goal. You see players filling this kind of attacking role in real life, Sergio Ramos for example. | 06/11/2011 05:00 |

Gary Neville, Patrice Evra, Roberto Carlos, Cafu (who pioneered the idea) Not to mention Gabriel Heinze, Ashley Cole, The Da Silva Twins... And loads more Over lapping full backs is the way forward! (no pun intended...) And it's also why i originally started the game with Full Backs I agree! |

Couldn't agree more! As it is, fullbacks are completely useless! They can't steal the ball, pass the ball or handle the ball, so they just run up and down the pitch alongside the play! If something doesn't change, they'll disappear from the game... | 06/11/2011 06:33 |

If you teach them to tackle, they can steal the ball. | 06/11/2011 11:05 |

grantis45 said: If you teach them to tackle, they can steal the ball. I wasn't arguing that grantis, but doesn't it make sense that you should be able to train fullbacks to play an overlapping role? There is no way to give them any training that would allow them to fulfill this role. |

RB and RWB do exist in real football, so they should make it happen on here, good option if you dont play with wingers or even if you do....i AGREE.. | 06/11/2011 16:00 |

If you trained them to pass, then they could play as a wing back. I'm running that training for the first time tomorrow. I'll let you know what the gains are like. | 06/11/2011 16:20 |

Let me know if it works; because the training charts make it look like it shouldn't. | 06/11/2011 16:55 |

Don't forget that's just how the average goes up, not the skills themselves. | 06/11/2011 16:59 |

From what I have seen though it doesn't seem to have an affect on the abilities of players who show no affect overall. For example yesterday I trained clearances. You would think IMs would get some benefit from that, but they don't get any at all just like the chart shows. | 06/11/2011 17:08 |
