Please remove the hostile clause or at least copy the "restricted free agency" in the NBA wherein outside teams can make an offer to the player in your team and you have 7 days to match and keep the player or give the player away for money. I just lost 2 players because of this and now I'm having a headache on how to fill up their spots since players in the market are much more expensive or have lesser rating than the ones I "had". I'm a bit pissed right now and I'm contemplating of selling all my players for free.... I'm in Div 6 and managers from the upper divisions can "bully" and buy the good players from the lower divisions because of financial disparities. |

It won't happen. If they switched to the model you propose then no owner would pay a player more until they were forced too. Additionally, it wouldn't stop players from upper divisions from being a "bully" as you put it. Most of them have enough money that they could offer the player enough that you wouldn't be able to match it. One of the things you have to do in this game is keep track of whether you are paying players enough so that their hostile clause is at least their market value, preferably a bit more. |

To protect your players, pay them more to increase the clause. I personally like the hostile clause as it is. My advise to you is value your players at replacement cost for a player of the approximately the same value + margin (profit). This way when or If you get "hostiled" you get your replacement without any qualms and still make profit, thus creating a win-win situation. |

Or maybe at least give the owner a chance to match the salary that the outside team is offering. That way, the owner will have time to decide whether or not they will want to match or give away their players. By just posting my concern in the forum, 3 players are leaving my team... Oh well........ |

Get in there and offer the rest of your team more money. Posting about how you got hostiled is a great way of getting the rest of your team hostiled. Everyone goes, lets have a look and see how low your clauses are. Then they go, oh look they're really cheap, I could do with a backup CF. The hostile clause is there to stop you paying your players £3 per week. Otherwise you'd only pay them more when you get hostiled. |

Oh well........ I agree with all the others... Raise their salaries, at least a bit. I know it's hard to afford at times, but raise the ones that you really want to keep at least. I think you do have a good point though, it would be nice to have at least a "meet or beat my offer in 48 hours" or something like that... and it would add another element of strategy to the game). |
