Hi guys, We're almost halfway through the season, hard to believe  . Any of you needing advice on games, let's post questions here. In particular, if you have a tough opponent coming up in striker cup or your league. I'd like to see all of us finish first in our leagues, and At least one of us hit the quarterfinals of the striker cup.A warning: if you are playing Al Ahly in the cup, you will need help. He is division 5 but has only lost 1 match this entire season. This included a nice poetic justice elimination of @Dnsvnsk's team from the cup 2 weeks ago . |

nah , my last Striker Cup game my LIM received a red card so he was forbid to play the next league game . And today the red card disappeared and i put him in the line up . | 29/10/2011 20:23 |

First off, you will have no chance if you play anything less than 100% effort (not metaphorically, but in your tactics), so expect your players to be shredded after the game. The good news is that his primary striker's speed is only 50, so your 55 CDF and 63 DFM can both catch him (the CDF has 54 speed, and the DFM has 69 speed). Play your defensive line as high as I do, I put them all in a line level with the ball, and on the midfield line when the ball is further forward. You will get LOTS of offsides calls against him. And even better news - he plays defensive line all the way back on the penalty box when the ball crosses midfield, so your team will have lots of room to maneuver. His defense is really fast, so you'll need a very clever offensive strategy. Include your LIM as a "shadow striker" - push him up to an LF position when the ball is anywhere near the box, so you'll have 3 options for forwards. When the ball is near the box, I'd put your IM at halfway between the box and the midfield line, and the RIM parallel to the IM. This should distract his CDFs, allowing the CF to slip in unmarked, and as a result his shots will be more accurate. His RDF/LDF will stay on the LIM and RW. Then, play slightly more counter, and slightly more center. He plays pretty heavy on the zone defense, so having 3 forwards should give you lots of attacking options. He will score, but you will score more, and because the ball will be in his half most of the game, he might get one or more defenders carded out. If that happens early enough, he'll have no chance against you. If he only plays 3 defenders (which he does sometimes), you will destroy him offensively. goal total will probably go down 1 or 2 if he plays 2 CDFs, but maybe not. This will be a fun match to observe. P.S. give your LIM net breaker on the next skill upgrade, and change of pace on the the following. He passes just fine, make him into a fine striker . |

Thnx a lot. That def stuff i cant wait to try. Already use LIM as SS and it really works too(check out the goal link that i posted a few days back) and IM in between but dont push RIM much though(maybe I'll try around now). Btw that def suggestion must be ur secret  !!! Lets hope best for the rest of the season |

Yeah, I decided that my own success in this league is secondary to everyone's success in the cup and leagues, so hopefully I won't pay for my generosity |

I got Celtic Football Club from Div 3 next cup game. Aimed for round 8 this season so round 7 is above expectation. Any tips would be appreciated |
