I have noticed in a number of games how I blink and the ball has miraculously disappeared from one players feet only to have reappeared at the feet of an opposition player some distance away.

I was at first disappointed by this, until I started to wonder what had caused it.

After giving it some thought I concluded this must be caused by quantum tunnelling.

This is great news because although it ruins the game, it does go some way to solve the global energy crisis.

The implication being that if something as massive as a football is readily able to quantum tunnel, cold fusion is almost certainly possible.

Striker Manager could well win the Nobel prize for Physics for this.
