when trying to buy a player using the hostile clause, do you need to raise the "Bid for the Team", the "Bid for the Player", or both? I am quite unsure how this all works... 22/10/2011 15:46

Raise the Bid for the Team right up to max with the right arrow - thats the players release clause. You will only get this player if the other manager has 8000 or more experience points or if the player (if he is a junior) has not been re-signed (R) for the season.
The Bid for the Player is the salary you wish to pay him - you would obviously raise it further so you dont have the player hostiled straight back again. When you raise his salary you are raising his release clause.
