what are the names of the formations you intended, and can you describe in detail the difference between the formation you chose and the actual one? This will help greatly in debugging. The formation should have been a variation on a 3-5-2 formation with the left & right inner midfielders playing in advance of the central inner midfielder. My starting formation was 3-5-2, but with the right & left inner midfielders behind the central inner midfielder. What has actually happened is that my central inner midfielder became a centre forward, while my left sided inner midfielder became a centre back. This has meant that he got really bad ratings and left my midfield short of players. The only possible description of the formation that has been proposed is 4-3-3, with 2 central defenders and a right and left defender - but that is not what I chose. I haven't got a formation like that one Also although all my subs were meant to come on at the same time, they came on separately?? |

On your formations, do the numbers match the position want to change. Those numbers on the players need to match up in order for them to stay in the same position. Players switching positions is a bug on the list, but the advanced tactics are dicey when doing substitutions also. I try don't deal with formation changes during games, although I did it during a friendly. I heard Lucifer did it successfully also. That is, Change formation + substitute at same time. --- I'm saying I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I know what you are doing is possible, it just takes very meticulous matching + (I think at this point) luck. |

My number 4 went to centre forward & my number 8 to centre back. All that should have happened was a move in midfield. I have made formation & substitute changes succesfully since the new simulator came in - the odd bug, but not it picking a random formation. I was a bit puzzled about why it made subs in 2 batches. Usually they all happen at once unless I've had an injury (which in this game I had). I'll put it down to being a known bug, but changing the formation to chase or hold onto a lead has been very successful for me, but I will take out the advance tactics if they keep doing random things which are not what I chose, which would be a shame. Then it is reliant on luck & not tactical skills. |
