Please keep this clean, and don't post if you are angry.

I suggest that we keep the current basic training numbers (or raise them, but not too much).

BUT, we should change motivation!

Jr's should always have high motivation (150%) until their "P" comes out, after then it drops to 100%. So you would be best suited to promote him because...

Motivation goes up to 135% for the first 2 seasons as a Sr. (So a 16 year old with 60 avg would have 135% until he is 18, and a normal 19 year old with 40 avg would have 135% until he is 21)

Sr's (other than 1st and 2nd year players) should have motivation 100%.

Older players (27 and up) should have motivation that drops a bit each season (50% by the time he's 35) and also be more injury prone, even with career ending injuries.

The current situational "added/subtracted motivation" should stay the same (for wins, losses, not being a starter, and temp promotion). Ex: a temp promoted youth would have a whopping 180% motivation after a win (175 + 5), and 205% for the day he gets back to the Jr team! (assuming the 50% bonus is re applied)

I also suggest that players who are subbed into a game get a higher motivation than they currently do (-10% rather than -20% (or is it 25%?))

The reason I suggest things this way is that I used to be a computer programmer/sys admin. I know how easy this would be to implement, and while some of the other suggestions I've seen have been very good, they would be a huge headache for the developers of this game.

So to sum up: Keep (or raise just a bit) the current training base numbers, but change the way motivation works.

I also like the idea of applying the training team wide, so everyone on the team is trained at least a bit by the day's training (right now, the poor GK just sits and watches most of the time). The Avg of a GK won't go up with good crossing skills, but it would be better than just having him sit there all the time. + other things like a RB with crazy finishing skills, would make the game that much more fun (think of the crazy tactics!)

Example for my above suggestion: (assuming the player is not on the bench all the time)

1. a 16 year old, 58 avg has 150% motivation until he gets quickly gets to 60 avg and gets a P
2. player's motivation drops to 100%, manager gets mad
3. player is promoted to Sr. squad, motivation rises to 135%. While not thrilled, manager is not mad anymore
4. player spends the next 2 seasons with motivation 135%, gets up to about 75 avg
5. player's motivation drops to 100% after 2 seasons as a Sr. He is age 18 and will still improve, but not as fast. He's learned alot in the last 2 years, but opponents are getting used to him too. Manager has accepted this, and is happy he is still improving (a bit slower).

Note: the example is for an exceptional player. most players will be promoted at 18 or 19 and keep 135% motivation until 20 or 21.

Junior and Senior I think are on different training schedules (as in a 40 avg junior trains faster than 40 avg senior)

I've heard raising the temp promotion limit from 2 to 3 juniors at a time as a suggestion....

The motivation for promotion and return amounts have been changed, although returning that to a higher amount may provide that "little bit extra" that we are all looking for without destroying the equilibrium that seems to be in place now.

I think they may need to work on senior training, but at least your juniors can be properly trained now.

Ah k, that's a good idea too.

But the things I would still be worried about are:
1. Young Jr. players with very high average and high progression just staying Jr's and milking the system (so they come into the league as 17 year olds with 80 avg...). Not too many of these any more, but people still have them...

2. The realism that most players do in fact, improve massively during their first couple of years as a Pro would not be reflected

And yup, I'm more happy bout the Jr's than I was last week

Thanks @Reb.

Hi mate, so juniors training is fixed. Anybody care to tell us the formula for calculating training or progression. Also has anyone created spreadsheet for the training like we had one before.

Great work on the improved skills training! (developers and @). Let's keep moving things forward. Please don't forget our remaining suggestions
