Anyone else think Injuries are extensive. The season is not a full year but the players are out for weeks and not games. I had a player out for a week with a 'hangover'? Wish i had a hangover that good. Maybe i pay them too much.

Shouldnt they be out for games and not weeks. We play 3 games a week in the league (normally 3 weeks worth of games in real time) yet the injuries are in real time. I think they should have thought about this in their recent updates. Ie A minor injury may take 6 games....

Hire a Doctor, good doctors can heal 3 weeks or more of injuries in only 2 days work. 08/10/2011 01:17

2 issues here.

1. injuries are over extensive
2. responsiblilities of a doctor.

1: Injuries should match games not weeks. seasons are condensed How does say for instance a hangover cover 3 games? not realistic.
2: Doctors, dont get me started. You pay someone a weekly salary for doing nothing. if they get injured u have to pay double their salary? what job ever does that? for this game we should lower the salaries but penalise for amount of recovery work they do. imagine doing nothing for your job then asked to do something and demanding double your salary? non realistic. lower basic wage but penalties for using the doctor/physio

most injuries are realistic and are 3-10 weeks long (fractures are longer). Hangover is a little joke, along with gastroenteritis. Remember, all the expenses are designed to keep us from making too much money too fast so that inflation doesn't run rampant. I was annoyed at first too, but you'll get acclimated.

As for salary, my doctor charges between 80-120k for injury recovery, but his salary is closer to 300k. The amount charged is proportional to the number of weeks of injury reduced.

I did reply, my answer went awol. lol

Injuries. Yes 3-10 weeks long. but not condensed like the actual league is. ie an injury for 3 weeks in strikermanager means that the player will miss at least 9 games (not including private leagues), it should be 3-4 games.

Also, hangover, a joke? whos that joke for? people who spend their budget on a high rating player for their team, 1 hangover andery) they are out for at least 3 games...on top of that, we pay a salary for a doctor who does feck all until we instruct him to recover costing more money.

My example. Hamstring injury....3 weeks. (3 games a week so only 3/4 games, doctor on 40K, but has to spend 20k recovery down to 1/2 weeks, another 20k down less) its unfair at the moment. Bit like the people who had £140k youth coaches and the training wasnt perfected.

Youth coach: $374,000
Coach: $358,200
Doctor: $265,000

I spent more than $1.5million on the coaches waiting for training to start working. Yes, it sucked. Yes, I complained. Ultimately you have to choose whether the pain is worth staying in the game. For some, it's been too much (we've seen a lot of teams auction their whole squad in the past week).

I have spent lots and lots on doctor salary, and only rarely called him into service. Doctors are similar to health insurance. Most of the time, it's really unfair to have to pay for it. But when you need it, thank god almighty you have it, right?

So, you have 2 choices: hire a doctor when you need him, and risk getting a crap one, or hire a good one and keep him on staff. By the way, with your example, I would have a player miss at most 2 games. A good doctor is invaluable for major injuries, as @rebsiot said.

You have hit the nail right on the head!!! I agree with the role of the doctor etc...what i object to is you pay a salary to something that doesnt matter but when you really need it it charges you double! I think there is a fairer system that can help us all so im not being selfish in thinking of myself i just think when we use staff there could be fees attached maybe along with a lower salary.

Again think of it as someone is being paid to do a job when there is no job to do....when there is a job to do he asks for double his salary? Ill stress again, an injury in this game should be condensed to games, not weeks, we play a condensed league.....an injury should have a set time, the inury should then take a period of time to heal depending on the percentage of the doctor you have, if you ask your doctor to heal your player you should face a fee for a quicker healing time, i think thats fair (but double the salary? thats ridiculous).
