I already have an Ave 60 team. What we need is people to keep talking. I promise you that most PL's don't have any posts in their forum at all. It's what sets us apart. | 12/10/2011 18:26 |

Your team average is 60??? Sheesh i need to work harder now. How much ever i try to catch up with you guys do end up falling short. But no issues I still am a challenge to most of the managers in the PL, so its good. | 12/10/2011 18:38 |

grantis45 said: I have to say I disagree on the criteria so far, most of use will have decent teams at the season end. I think the criteria should be based almost completely on activity. The is no point having people in the league who just can't even be bothered to post. I'm looking at a couple of managers already in this league who would fall foul of this. However if someone falls way behind on AV (like 15 points or so and they are in the bottom 2 or 3) then we should consider them also. If we allow good teams who don't join in to stay, then we'll end up like the majority of PL's around here, soulless places. I'll even go as far to add some numbers. Just to stir people up. <10 posts = automatic removal. <20 posts = we all vote on the people concerned. (bump does not count as a post) Flame away. agreed. I want the big weight of the criteria to be on activity, with only very weak managers removed. I'd love to be in a PL where i see 13 other managers posting stuff continuously. (As an example, although patient is currently last in the PL...he is almost always in general chat. I wouldn't want him out if he can keep improving his team) Number of posts is a good way to measure activity i suppose. Any other suggestions? And lucifer, i dont think avg should be the big factor in selecting new managers. I already have a 60 avg line-up, which will most likely be about 70 by the end of the season. Anyone with a 60+ avg line-up should pass through the average check. Remember, with good tactics he would be able to beat us all. I would like to see a big weight being placed on activity of managers when we are trying to pick. |

Colton and Sonymose are both very much in the chat room a lot, and we daren't lose KaSul. so fare he's been doing good in div 3. Like I said before, we've got to be sort of lenient with how we handle this, cause there are a few personalities this league cannot do without. Activity should be a major factor, probably the most major factor, because there are some people who don't speak very much english, so it'd be hard to be mad at them about posting on the forums. A couple final things: The requirements for getting in should probably be a bit stricter than the requirements for staying in, we don't want people at the bare minimum to replace just under the bare minimum. Anyone kicked out should be first on the list if any other spots open up. Edited by hewhoamareismyself 12-10-2011 20:54 |

Just to be clear, my point in originating this post was not to kick anyone out of the league. My intent was to add consequences to all of the competitions (particularly league play). I agree that being in this league with all of the active managers has been a great experience so far, and I'm sure it will continue to be so. I'm happy that this topic has spurred a little bit of conversation, though. I know I'm one of the lesser active managers, but I do appreciate all the chatter in the forums. Considering there isn't a single post in my league forum, this is a welcome change. I really enjoy this game (probably too much if you ask my wife) and am glad to be in this league because it very much increases my enjoyment. |

My opinion is if everyone wants to stay on after this season then let that be as this is the first season for this league. But I am sure one or two will decide otherwise. | 12/10/2011 21:31 |

I guess I was being a bit of an arsehole there, however I just wanted to try to get some of you to join in the discussions that are going on around. We've got a good bunch of people here. It would just be nice if some of you joined in the conversations a bit more. |
