 I've got a 14-year-old junior player who doesn't want to resign a 7-year contract because he is planing to retire, so he says. I can't reduce the number of years in his contract either. What shall I do with this spoiled little brat? 06/10/2011 18:26

 Meanwhile I fixed this problem myself by putting him on auction and exercising the direct buy option right away (this seems to have straightened out the little sucker).

But this is still a bug that needs to get ironed out for the future.

Can you put the player's link? I think it's not a bug, sometimes players don't want to resign when they have a contact for 6-7 years so i recommend you to put about 3-4 years only =) 		06/10/2011 22:10

He's saying that it wouldn't allow him to reduce the number of years of contract, and refused to sign at 7 years of contract, so I think it is probably a bug. Unless the intent was to prevent re-signing of youths just out of school, but I kind of doubt that is intended. 		06/10/2011 22:16

Meanwhile I fixed the problem by auction/direct buy.
