Currently when you receive Forum Alerts under Staff on the Home Screen there is no way to delete, clear or mark them as read. This functionality seems like it would be a welcome addition. Thank you! 01/10/2011 18:34

I believe when you read the message in your inbox, they automatically disappear from the home screen. Would you try this and report back? 01/10/2011 18:59

Yes I've done that but they don't vanish. They will stay in that screen for hours and hours. I have two messages right now which I Read 6 hours ago and the messages are still there. The Read button should delete the notification as the user has taken an action.

Additionally it seems that an alert is not required for my own replies to a forum thread as I'm already aware that the thread has a new reply.

If you read the posts then log out and log back in they should clear. 02/10/2011 06:48

Reading and then logging out and logging in works. Thanks to practicesquad for the tip.

I would, however, call this a work around and not desired functionality. You don't have to
relog for messages to delete or players to change so they really should either disappear
when read or have a delete button.

Not to say I don't appreciate the work around because I DO! Now I can finally clear these
messages from my screen.
