Read the FAQ sticky in the general forum. It explains about progression in one of the points. | 01/10/2011 16:35 |

Progression and starting average are unrelated. You can get a 30avg player but with low progression, and you can get a 20 avg player with much higher progression. However, a player with higher progression does usually related to a higher forecast. | 01/10/2011 18:18 |

thanks niral. i am bit unsure how does the avg get calculated for a school player when he is promoted to youth team. suppose i get a new player in school with average of 18 and 50 progression. now what would be the initial avg of the player when he is promoted to youth team. is there any formula to calculate it? i searched this Q in the faqs thread. but only found the infos related to youth and senior players ,not the school boys, or may be i have missed it. |

I've never had a school so I cant really tell you about it. But from what I've seen and heard from others is that the Avg. increases dramatically from school to junior. like 2x. But I would say that the school quality does not mean higher avg players. I believe that is random; however, progression is significantly different from a 5 star school to a 1 star school. | 01/10/2011 23:01 |
