Just read the post @Rand made about facts... It certainly seems unfair. I did my best to stick with the request for friendly restrictions... and yes I have under 30 friendlies that have or will be played, but I still disagree with the decision. The punishment should be for more serious offenders and not those who were unable or unwilling to self-impose processes to compensate for poor programming. This being a for profit venture, I'm surprised that they took such a strong stand.. i guess it shows their commitment to the integrity of the game. | 30/09/2011 20:17 |

IF you took advantage of a bug you should be punished. Rules are Rules man. | 30/09/2011 20:55 |

Its not really a terrible punishment for the managers who played 31 games. THey are just being made to give up the income from the extra games, that seems reasonable. And the ones who really did abuse it are the ones actually being hit hard. | 30/09/2011 21:06 |

Crack1993 said: IF you took advantage of a bug you should be punished. Rules are Rules man. I agree, but I think some of the people that had just over 30, might not have known. Look at the requests and list of friendlies, it can get confusing. Obviously if someone had 100+ friendlies, they would have been thinking "yes, a glitch, yes!" But for someone who was just accepting a few a day thinking "nice, another friendly", I don't see punishing that person as very graceful. |

The reason I was playing more is because I saw the @'s and other top players doing it. I figured it must not be allowed, since it was going on for over a week before @Rand mentioned anything about it. I think it is wrong that some of the top players were given extra practice with the new simulator. The amount of money I was docked (around 20 million) is a small price for any of the top teams to pay. For me, I will end up losing my team, but they gained great experience which will help them get an edge on everyone else, furthering the top heavy aspect of this game. |

admin were allowed extra friendlies to try to fix the bugs in the system ASAP - this seems totally fair to me and have also had income removed for those friendlies. They have done a very good job as the sim bugs have reduced considerably since a week ago. The other non admin "top teams" as you put it who have played a huge number of friendlies have been heavily fined - its a % (125 or 150) of their earnings, so much more than 20M. As for the practice - I dont see it as that much - you cant learn much when your 30 friendlies in one day all happen roughly together and you can only have time to make a few changes. I played 23 friendlies and I had time to carefully plan before each tactical change, benefiting much more than a mass of friendlies together just to make some money. |

I think you are touching on an issue that needs to eventually be addressed (the top heavy nature of this game, have you looked at some of the salaries of the top teams?, and they can afford to hostile any high prog player from the lower leagues that they find...). I have not played on the Spanish SIM, but from what I hear, it's alot worse over there. But that's not the point of this punishment me thinks. If you come back with a new team, at least you'll be able to prepare well and learn from any past mistakes. Good luck to you. |

How about those who the bug took advantage of ?? I couldn't schedule more than 1 friendly, anytime I tried I couldn't find a date available... It was bad. | 01/10/2011 00:31 |

As I have said in other threads, this was very unfortunate, and it is also now in the past. The most important thing we must take from this is that communication just sucked, and the 4 new @ will be doing our damnedest to make sure that there is no replay of these events in the future. That should be some small comfort. For the manager who will lose his team: I have gone through a team reset. In my case, I deleted my account and then started over from complete scratch. The second time around was MUCH better. I already knew how the game worked, and avoided some of the stupid mistakes newbies inevitably make, and my team improved far faster, so that in the end it was a blessing in disguise. Hopefully that will be the case for you as well. | 01/10/2011 07:03 |

Im happy with the punishments for the most part, but I think more could have, and should have been done. For those that went over slightly, avg or 4/day i think the financial aspect was right but I think they could have taken a little experience away too. As for those that abused the system, REPORT THE GLITCH DONT ABUSE IT!!. Aside from the financial punishments i think they could have taken considerable experience away along with any better players they acquired in the process. With the thousands of players on here I doubt they needed MORE games to try out the new simulator. IF they indeed needed more test games, setting up forums or private leagues would have been more wise. I was CONSTANTLY trying to get as many games as i could and didnt get anywhere near 30 games. I challenged worse teams, better teams, at home or as visitor and still hardly got any play. hahaha. As i said before, im happy that they did SOMETHING about the cheating. Cheating ruins games for those who dont want to cheat. |
