I've used the optimise button for a private league game and that was great - i managed 500k revenue. I've maintained the same ticket price for a friendly and this time nobody turned up and I made 0 pound.

So I'm guessing that the ticket price should be different for friendly game and league games. It may even be that the price should be different for private league, division league and cups. So the question is does anyone know the good appromate formula for the price for each type of games?

I don't know of a specific formula per say, but I have gleaned a bit of information from other threads and experiences.

Part of the attendace is related to the opponent's quality. A Div3 Cup opponent should net more revenue and/or fill more seats compared to a Div6 opponent. Same goes for leage and private league - the higher ranked the opponent the more imaginary SM fans attend.

I lowered my ticket prices for friendlies. Seems to increase the attendance.

I heard rumor that stadium upgrades can assist attendance also but can't confirm.

Hope that helps.

Optimize for 1 friendly - note ticket prices - mine are actually scribbled on a piece of paper somewhere...
Optimize for 1 League game (average opponent)
Optimize for 1 Private league game

Then you at least have an idea where to start. You can raise prices by 2 or 3 $ for stronger opponents etc

Dont forget to optimize again after a seating upgrade.

My guess would be that the friendly didn't happen because your opponent didn't have 11 men on the field and you won 3-0 by default.

Can you post a link to the game cos it's not in your calender.

The private league game with 500k revenue

http://uk.strikermanager.com/partido.php?id=3306224

The friendly with 0 revenue

I can at least see that the private league game was against a div 4 team with 13000 supporters where as the friendly was against div 7 team with 2000 supporter.

So it matters not on the type of match (friendly, league, cup) but on the quality of the opponent only? Or is it both?

Ok, that is odd. Did you put up your ticket prices for the friendly at all? Normally I get 20% with the same prices for a friendly.

So my normal gate income in £2.3m. Friendlies we get £230k each.

Same (but it's actually 10%). I always thought friendly revenue was simply 10% of what you made in your last home game. The more I seem to make in my league games, the more I make in the friendly the next day. If I play a top team and make 1.6M, my next friendly against my buddy is 160K. If I play a weaker team and make 1.4M, the next friendly against the same buddy only earns 1.4M, despite prices always being constant. That being said, I haven't fiddled around much with prices to see if this changes things...
