Compare a few countries over the last year. I don't want to step on any toes but...

Comparing S.Korea (2.5 stars) to Cameroon and Nigeria (4 stars), we are getting seriously undercut for the "quality" of it's schools.

If you compare Uruguay to them (3 stars), you have to ask yourself "what in the WORLD is going on here?"

S.Korea I can kind of understand, they have improved over the last year, but they deserve at LEAST 3 stars (3.5 or even 4 if you want to keep it consistent with the rest of the countries) and if you want historically how well they did, look it up on the chart, up until a few years back, they were constantly around the SAME LEVEL of the 4 star countries... (are are well AHEAD of them right now).

Uruguay with 3 stars? I don't even want to try to explain that one...

Sorry for the caps

i guess it hasn't to do with results in WC, or international tournaments, it has to do with players playing around the world, or big teams... well, i guess so

It's mostly based on culture, quantity and quality of young players in big leagues, as well as how well their youth squads are doing. Less to do with country rating.

Although I agree it's incredibly outdated. Uruguay getting 3 stars was probably back before the WC.

I guess having players on ManU, Arsenal, Celtic, Hamburger SV (yum!), FC Basel and many other top teams does not count for much then.
If you've ever visited Korea, you'll know that the Youth are completely NUTZO about football.

Nor does the fact that some of the 3.5star+ school countries did not even have a youth team make it to the under-20 Fifa world cup, and that even North Korea did (beating out regional rivals Iran and China)

It's not TOO big of a deal, but it would be nice if things were updated, and a few schools were added

Anyways, sorry to make a "fuss". At least it was clean

But still... 3 stars for Uruguay... LOL!

stepping on toes you said, plz and plz, don't under-rate nigeria, the school is all about youth footballers. Nigeria is currently ahead in world youth football, i wonder why 4 star rating is much 4 a country with 3 fifa world cups and many times runner ups. Plz watch ur tongue and lastly use ur head.

When I saw this thread pop up last night I was worried it was going to go this direction. When you start bringing the whole national pride thing into the discussion people get angry and defensive.

This isn't really a doubt, at best it is a suggestion. But it is something that would need to be considered carefully. If a manager paid for a school in a 4* country and they were downgraded he might, somewhat rightfully, be a bit annoyed;, and the reverse is also somewhat unfair, paying a lower price for a school that suddenly gets better.

You got to the point. There will be no increasing/decreasing of quality of schools simply because people paid a certain amount for it and it is unfair to make them have more/less for what they paid. End of story.

As for Nigeria/Cameroon...they are high quality football countries with players in top teams. And just like you said S.K. has players in top clubs, Nigeria/Cameroon have john obi mikel (chelsea), joel Obi (intermilan), taye taiwo (AC Milan)///song (arsenal), eyong enoh (ajax), matip (schalke), eto (some russian club). So comparing the quality of clubs that national players from these countries play for will most likely not put S.K. in a better position than them. Just showing how it looks from the other side of the table

Sorry if I've offended anyone. The main point was to say that it would be nice if the ratings were updated, and I did know that there would be a problem because people have invested so much into schools already. Please don't tell people "use your head' when you don't know what's going on inside.

"that might not be a good idea" would be a way to say it without stepping on toes

But yah... just a bit too serious and defensive.

I know alot of people post so it's really hard to tell, but my posts are mostly trying to lighten the mood in here.

Have a great day guys, and lighten up a bit eh?
