Nasregas said: Soccer is football http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:search?search=soccer Edited by Nasregas 05-08-2011 07:24 according to that page, football is simply football, with varying regions having their own way to play it. "football" is just a broad term, like saying "i drive a vehicle." apparently there's rugby football, aussie rules football, american football, and soccer is called "association football", with "soccer" being a shortened way to say "association", originated in England. all of which are very different, with the only common characteristic being some sort of kicking involved at some point of the game. so when i have to choose between calling the "football" this game models itself after either soccer or the politically correct "association football", i'm going to call it soccer. anybody who has a problem with that can spread em wide so i may kick a field goal, Adam Vinatieri-style. now can we finally drop this useless debate and decree to each their own? Not heavy rain, but constant misting/drizzle/clouds. The Pacific NW has the highest suicide rate in North America I think. |

The Pacific NW has the highest suicide rate in North America I think. that is the truth. but it'd take about 20 years of constant rain to offset the amount of sun rays i've absorbed living in vegas. i'd make everybody happy with how cheery i'd be for the rain...or drive them insane. |
