In thursday night's fun and games, both GunnerNic and Slipi brought out their casino winnings (supposedly obtained by watching "21" and teaching their team how to count cards... their coaching team, obviously the players were too thick to learn) and splashed the cash in eager anticipation of their muddy gut-barging contest in a week. GunnerNic plumped for young master Wien, a mere sprog at 17, but with an average of 69 already he can already hold his own in the team shower bonding. A snip at 36 million. Slipi found two young whippersnappers going for a song... and a dance... and everything else that was on offer. Bought for a combined total of 42million, it's thought that Lars, 16, and Kevin, 17, might be preyed upon in the locker room. However, Kevin at least has big brother Marco, 23, to watch his back and convey mother's instructions to wash behind his ears. It can only be expected that these youths will be heavily targeted in the weekend's fixtures, I foresee crunching tackles  and many many more injuries :s |

An auction night supreme, with all the big guns coming to participate, the auctioneer had hardly a second to breathe, an ENTIRE elite team up for grabs in just 9 mins. The manager (name withheld), after a word from Sir Alex to come and join him good and proper, decided with the blessing from his board (who were on a yacht in the Med, blonde in hand, cocktail in the other) to put his entire team up for sale all within 9 minutes of auction frenzy. To summarise the frenzy, the big CF (forecast to 79) making him surely the best CF out there bar the silver Stars was going for 60 mill - a fair price to be sure, but with seconds to go an audacious bid from Champos ripped him away for 85 million dollars. A young IM, James as he's known, 16 and 71 average was held by Memes Team until the last second and he too was stolen away by the Houston Rockets for a staggering 57 million dollars. Many more were sold for 20 and 30 mill plus making the board extremely happy as they could then continue their cruise to the Carribean and partake of the delectable Coffee Blondes and Chocolate 5 Leaf Herb Cookies the region is so well known for.
