Win out. The 3rd place person (who is active) plays the 2nd place person (also active) in your league on the last day of the season. The 2nd place team is much better on paper, and should at least come away with a tie, if not a win. You are ahead on goal differential in the event of a tie. So If the second place person win then tie, win then lose, and you win 2, you are in 3rd. If they win then lose, you win then tie, you are likely in 3rd also. All other scenarios put into "best 4th place teams in" Admins... It would be Great to have a wild card table, showing the points of all of the optional teams with the cutoff. |
