it's no secret that attendance to friendly matches are terrible, but has anybody ever actually tried slashing the price of their tickets for the friendly in hopes of boosting attendance for those games and possibly making more money that way? or do the same amount of people show up with the discount prices and cost you even more money... i'm thinking of trying that strategy for my next friendly, but am curious if anyone's done it before me. And no, I don't want to challenge you to a friendly. -.- |

Offer sent. In all seriousness, I would check and compare the percentage of attendance in each particular section to the ones in friendlies. If there is actually a discrepancy, then by all means there is a possibility of making away with a little more money. I don't think it would be significantly more though. |

I think there is a maximum attendance for friendly games, so adjusting ticket prices wont make much difference in raising it. Just found the thread, maximum attendance for friendlies is 6000 depending on ticket prices. Edited by Godson 23-05-2011 09:17 |

apparently it has. i just checked some friendlies i played in (both away, why didn't i ever schedule a home friendly? my stadium is rockin right now!  ) and one had 16,000 and the other was even against a Div 6'er and he pulled in 8,500ish. if i played at regular price, i suppose i'd expect 15,000 myself. i'm cutting them in half anyway for tomorrow's game. if i don't pull in at least 30,000 attendance, i'll cry a little bit and take my minimal financial hit. i'll let everyone know how that went. |
