New to the game, and it's VERY interesting. How many people are using the 'forecast' option in the training section? Does it really cost 10 golden balls for each player? Has anyone found the 'progression' option to be helpful as well? Thanks, Matt |

Yes, it cost 10 g.b. for each player. In my opinion it´s very usefull, you can see what levels will reach the players and if it is profitable or not to train. Edit: Progression is different than forecast: progression is the ability of the player to absorb training but a high progression does not mean that the player has a high forecast. Edited by cagontoo_en 23-03-2011 10:14 Forecast: It shows you the maximum global average that one player will have. Progression: The higher the progression is, the faster the player will reach to its maximum forecast. Normally,a high progression is synonim to a high forecast, but that is not 100% true. You can have a player with maximum forecast of 50, and progresion 80. This means he will get to 50 very fast, but then he'll stay there forever. |

I've forecast every one of my younger players. It's pretty invaluable. You may have two players whose averages are similar, but without knowing the forecast how do you know which one to sell. You may be selling a player who can go up to 80 and one who will plateau at 50. Without paying the GB, you will never know. I've gotten a lot(around 800) of free Golden Balls from the "Free Golden Balls" links on the right of the home page. It's a bit hit or miss with some of the offers, but quite a few of them work. I'd say about 50% pay out. You do end up with a lot of spam, but you can also unsubscribe from them afterwards. |

I only use golden balls on certain players who I really want to keep. If a player have a high progression you just train him until he's become a flatliner. So no need to use GB on every player. However, it is very satisfying when you use 10 GB and find out the player going to reach 80s. Last month I bought a junior DFM 40/16 for 1.2m. I was so glad and used 10 GB thinking he'll be a very high forecast. To my shock, he has reached his full potential at 16. I quickly put him on auction and there was a frantic bidding right at the death and bagged me a cool 1.5m. | 02/08/2011 22:26 |
