Release Clause talking about transfers I think we should have a transfer window just for those who want to pay the release clause of the player... or the game will be very unfair for the beginners, someone with a higher level that is already in the game a long time can buy your player in the middle of the season as I saw a case here in one of the topics ... Yesterday, I found one of my most important player's sold by paying out his buy-out clause. I know it is normal but what alarmed me is that the buyer (---------------------------) is a direct competitor in my league 9 and we have a very important match together tomorrow. by ELCAPITANOJUVE I think the game would be more realistic because the real teams do not sell their key players in the middle of the season and to a direct competitor Imagine barcelona selling messi to real madrid it`s impossible because who would sell a player 56av 71av or even with a more avarege than this if he is important to the team, only if the team is in need of money and then it would be a option to the managers the window could be in the beginning of the season till the 4th or 6th round What do you guys think about it?? |

I disagree if there is no market for the entire season, this is very boring, when you put the line up there is nothing else to do |

I'd personally like release clauses and all that removed from the game, it's not fair if someone that has been playing the game longer can just take your best player. It doesn't happen in reality so why here.. if anything it should only be allowed when the player is in their final year of their contract. |

Disagree, for the beginners there is a long period of 10 days of protection. If you meet that problem then you can be more pro, and for the pro it's fun Anyway, raise your wage if you want to keep your best players. | 15/03/2011 17:09 |

Just renew the player's contract and increse his release clause. I'm sorry but I disagree with the suggestion. |

In our past experience, the release clause option might be a little "shocking" at the beginning. But the seasons last very long in time, about 13 weeks and can be very boring without options like that. As I use to say this is more a buy and sell game than a soccer game. I mean, most of the time is spent in buying a selling players, thats how you make big money. After a few weeks you should have learned how to set your players' release clause high enough to not be stolen and, since that moment, that is no longer a problem. We have some protection windows, so it won't be a surprise if you have a player stolen. At the beginning of each season you have 7 days to resign your players. And as a newbie player you have an entire month (I think). |

You can increase the release clause as high as you want.. there will always be someone able to buy that player. I'm not asking or expecting it to be changed, just saying that I don't think it's a good idea and I'm pretty sure lots of others think the same way. |

If you set the release clause high enough you will get enough money to buy a similar player. It's no a problem. The system has been tested for 2 years now and near 300.000 manager are having fun with it. This system is used by spanish clubs (Real Madrid, Barcelona, etc.) and some historic players where signed this way, like Louis Figo, Michael Laudrup, and many others. |

How about a closure for hostile buying inside Your own league, let's say for the second half of the season, so that no direct competitor can destroy Your team to get the upper hand over You? This would leave almost the entire market open to reinforce Your squad, but would protect You against what I consider unfair competition. A complete closure for hostile buying just for the last week would also make a lot of sense without taking to much of the excitement out. |
